To my loyal readers and interested guests: I am in no way affiliated with a domain registration service, a hosting service or any other provider of such services. I have received several emails requesting that I take action on a domain that is registered in their name. Unfortunately, the only thing I can do is to help investigate when fraud, deception or other "Black Hat" activity is suspected. If you would like me to investigate suspicious activities, I will help in any way I can. If you need help canceling a domain or other web service, please contact the registrant or provider. If you don't know who it is, a good place to start is the WHOIS database. One easy way to see who has registered a domain is from GoDaddy's home page. Enter the domain name and search. If the domain is registered, it will tell you that the domain is already taken, but there will be a link to the right that says "click here for info". Follow the directions and you will be directed to a page that lists any publicly available information regarding the registration of that domain. You can use that information to begin your own investigation or turn it over to your attorney general. I wish you all well and Safe Surfing.

Another ripoff averted: Hello, Thank you for the information you provided.  I received mail from Web Listings Inc. and was, at first, perplexed as to the reason I received it, because I knew that I had not used it  for anything in the past.  As a matter of fact, I had never heard of it before.  I went to "anywho" to see if I could find a phone number and received no phone number.  I went to google and that's where I found you and read the info you had posted.  Thank you so much for what you are doing and the information you have gathered on this deceptive notice.  Dorothy
